Terje Medicine

SandShack runs Terje Medicine. Illness and injury move through stages, and the dose has to match the problem. A stronger medicine covers a weaker stage. Watch the condition instead of waiting until you are already down.

Terje Medicine wiki has the full item tables, timers, and overdose values. This is the field version.

How you take it

Clean hands, clean tools

Disinfect your hands and any medical gear before you work on a wound. Alcohol tincture and disinfectant spray are the kit for that. Dirty hands on an open wound are how a cut becomes sepsis. After surgery, keep the sutures clean the same way.

Vaccines

Take a vaccine before you are sick. It cuts the chance of that disease and it wears off, so you take it again later. Vaxicam covers a cold, Zerivax the zombie virus, and Rabivax rabies.

Wounds

Illness

Pain and too many pills

Pain eases by itself. A painkiller of the right strength, or stronger, cuts it short. Medicines also fill an overdose meter. Stage one is nausea and hallucinations. Stage two can knock you out. Stage three threatens your life. It fades as the drugs leave your system. Water is the light treatment for the first stage. Do not take a second dose because the first one felt slow.

Sleep

You have to sleep, the same way you have to eat and drink. Yellow on the sleep meter means yawning and fading sight. Red means you can pass out. Sleep warm: a fire, a house, a tent, or a sleeping bag. You cannot sleep if you are freezing, starving, or carrying a stage-two illness. Sleep restores health and blood, and a light cold can break while you rest. Energy drinks buy the meter back when you cannot lie down.

Mind

Zombie attacks, psi zones, and human meat wear the mind down into panic and hallucinations. Antidepressants steady it. A psi zone is worse the closer you stand to the middle. If the mind hits the bottom, the character can do something fatal. A PSI helmet is the gear built for those zones. Take an antidepressant before you walk in.

Base Building Plus

Most pieces start as a frame. Wood or planks go on that frame. Metal sheet needs the wood tier already finished. Concrete is bricks and a mortar mix, and you have to be holding a shovel or a pickaxe. The small half-wall is the exception: one concrete brick and the tool, no mortar.

Counts below are what you add at that step, not a running total, unless the line says otherwise. The Base Building Plus recipe wiki is the full list this section is drawn from.
